Biography of Paul Brannan

Paul Brannan is a Senior Research Analyst at ISIS. He has provided extensive research and analysis on the international nuclear black market. As part of his contribution to ISIS's state specific proliferation analyses, Brannan analyzes high-resolution commercial satellite imagery in order to identify and assess potential nuclear weapon-related facilities. His imagery analysis has been used and cited by numerous media sources including the Washington Post, New York Times and BBC. He has also provided research assistance for the calculation of global fissile material inventories.

Brannan graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 2004 with a B.A. in Government and a concentration in International Affairs. He has been with ISIS since September 2004 and has co-authored over 20 ISIS Issue and Imagery Briefs. He is the co-author of the October 2007 USIP Working Paper: "Disabling DPRK Nuclear Facilities".
