In 1996-1997, ISIS sponsored seminars in Israel and Egypt to explore the experiences and lessons of Argentina and Brazil's nuclear rapprochement, which culminated in the formation of a bilateral inspection regime and the implementation of international safeguards on the nuclear programs of the two Latin American nations.
